My new nephew, Michael, is still in the NICU. There have been several uncertain and scary moments this past week. As I’ve cried out to God for healing and help, He’s reminded me that He loves and cares for Michael the most. He has Michael in His hands, has a plan for his life, and will fulfill His plans. He is with Michael through all of this, each step of the way. God is Michael’s Creator and sustainer!
Psalm 139:13-17 For you created my inmost being;
you
knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I
praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your
works are wonderful,
I know
that full well.
15 My
frame was not hidden from you
when I
was made in the secret place,
when I
was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your
eyes saw my unformed body;
all the
days ordained for me were written in your book
before
one of them came to be.
17 How
precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How
vast is the sum of them!
As I’ve
prayed for Michael, God reminded me of several of these truths from Psalms. God
already knows all his needs. God has a plan for Michael and will complete it.
God knows what is wrong and how best to help his body function as intended.
God created
you, too, and has a plan for your life! Let’s remember He’s our Creator and
Sustainer, especially when we face uncertain and scary moments. He is with us!
