Most of us may think we want things to be fair. I even count grapes before putting them on plates for the family. 😊 We also often want justice for others to come quickly, but grace for ourselves. The Israelites were no different. They failed to see their own unfaithfulness and lack of love for God and others. However, they were quick to question God’s wisdom and justice in addressing the evil around them.
Malachi 2:17
You have wearied the Lord with your
words.
“How
have we wearied him?” you ask.
By
saying, “All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and he is
pleased with them” or “Where is the God of justice?”
When we look around our communities, we may be tempted to ask the same
thing. However, as is evident throughout the Bible, God is always present and
actively working. We may not see or recognize it, but His justice will prevail.
