The End of the Story

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.... Ephesians 1

A few weeks ago, I wrote about wanting to be rich.  Again, we are brought back to the concept that we can be rich through God!

We are all bought and paid for, through the blood of Jesus.  We are forgiven all our sins.  Today is Good Friday, the day that we remember Jesus's death on the cross.  A few years ago, I put a post on Facebook about my daily Bible reading and how far I was progressing (that was the first time I ever made it start to finish through the Bible).  I remember a "friend" posting a comment that read, "Spoiler alert: Jesus dies."  My aunt had the quicker comeback than I, and responded, "But he is risen from the dead and conquers death for us all!" (or something close to that).

The story does not end today!  Yes, Jesus died, but the wonderful thing is that he rose from the dead!  He lives!  Notice, the term is "lives" and not "lived".  He is still living!  He is living as he is seated next to God the Father.

On Sunday, we celebrate Easter.  We celebrate not only that he rose, but that he lives!
